Connecticut

So apparently, in my fog of bouncing around the country and suffering the flu, I did manage to take a few pictures on my trip to Connecticut, where I attended the Connecticut Audubon Society's 9th annual Eagle Festival. It is just as exciting as it sounds, and then imagine standing outside for 2 days straight in sub-freezing temperatures...standing next to a river...did I mention it was below freezing? The area was gorgeous, and now that I realize how little photos I took, I wish I had taken more of the town we were in. It was a very quintessential New England town. This was someones yard. I think I might have been in a gated community that I wasn't supposed to be in, but the sights were worth it.

The Atlantic. After arriving, I got lost on the coastal roadways trying to get glimpses of the ocean. It's been a long time since I have been able to sit and watch the ocean.
This one is for my mom.
