I have been neglecting the blog lately only because most of the people who read it, Kris and I have actually been visiting. I have been in the Northwest for 2 weeks already, shooting, working, had a wonderful visit with my dear friend Alysun, and playing with Kyle & Kassidy. Kris arrived last Saturday and we have actually been on vacation this week. It has been really nice to spend time with Kris's family this week and many of our friends. On Saturday we are leaving for POW (Prince of Whales Island) Alaska to spend a week with my parents. We have a few day trips planned and lot of fishing.
Being back in Vancouver has been so wonderful. I don't think we could have had a more relaxing vacation anywhere else. I commented to Kris last night as we were driving home that even though we are staying in my parents house alone, driving my mom's mini van, and living out of suitcases, I feel more settled and at home than I do in Tennessee. We have been enjoying the cool air, the fresh smells, big clean rivers (yes, we even consider the Willamette clean now) and the mountain scenery. I was even thankful for the Portland traffic last week as I watched the sun change the colors of Mt. Hood and Mount St. Helens.
As an extension of the last entry, a few days after I arrived at my parents house I had another encounter with another spider; this one huge, brown, furry, and ugly. It was just on the wall of the basement stairs chillin' out, and I took some pictures of it before using half a can of insect killer on it. I was going to try to identify it, and also I needed proof for Kris on just how bad this spider was. I don't know what is with me and spiders all of a sudden, but they are just haunting me!

Maybe you're actually Spider-Woman?
Hey Laura! Nice blog you've got here. I put a link to it on mine.
I love you, gal. Sorry to miss you on the West Coast.
