A new deck was built over the existing 10'x10' concrete pad that we had in our backyard. The best feature of the deck is that it overhangs the 6' drop-off that we had off one corner of the concrete pad!
We had it built over Thanksgiving weekend, but the weather was so lousy, I didn't get outside to take a final picture of it until today. Not to rub it in for those in the Northwest, but as I was making my lunch today, I realized how warm the sun was coming thru the kitchen windows. I went outside and it was warmer outside than inside! I now have most of my windows and back door wide open and I am loving the fresh air all throughout the house!
Kris and I found 2 great cedar benches one day that an older man was selling on the side of the road. They will look great on the deck as soon as we move them out there. Now I just need to find a table, hopefully a very affordable table. Hopefully the dry weather will hold so we can get it stained too.
